Neon and Nude redux!

Hey lovelies! I have no idea why this did not post with content, but oh well.  I bought these really cute sandals for Old navy and I knew instantly that I was going to do a mani inspired by them. I wanted to somehow do the stripe, but my skills were seriously lacking! In the end I went with the accent nail my good old standby. I used China Glaze Fast Track form the Hunger Games collection and then Love and Beauty Neon Yellow for the accent, of course I couldn't leave well enough alone and added OPI Serving Up Sparkle. I did play with the saturation a little bit to get the neon to show better, but the color of Fast Track is pretty darn close. This was so simple yet it looked really good, till next time, ta!

Oh my Awesome!

Hey lovelies! As you know I am a proud member of the Cult, as in Cult Nails. The lovely Maria has created an amazing polish line that never fails to blow me away! Toxic Seaweed is one of those unexpected jewels that Maria comes up with, this was an LE polish, so I am sorry that I am showing you this awesomeness. Rachel, from If The Shoe Fits, posted a pic of Toxic Seaweed on her toes the other day and I knew that I needed to bust mine out! I am a true fan of Seche Vite, but I do believe that Wicked Fast just stole me away, not sure why I waited so long to try it out! Last night I was going to see the musical Bring It On and I had just about an hour to get ready, so of course I decided to do my nails! My polish dried so fast that i was able to do my hair, makeup and get dressed with 10 minutes to spare and not a smudge or a ding in sight! For this look I used one coat of a England Dragon over a base coat of Cult Nails Get it On, then two coats of Toxic Seaweed finished off with Wicked Fast. The pictures do not do this combo justice, I do not want to take it off! Till next time, ta!

Spring Break 2012

Hey lovelies! Sorry for the lack of posts, but as the title says its Spring Break time! We hadn't really planned on any trip this year, but I figured we could go to Atlanta for a day or two, but then Easter morning I kind of kicked it up a notch and decided to load the kids and my mom (hubby had to work) up and head to Orlando. Yeah, I know what the hell was I thinking, well my logic was kind of off, it is 4 hours to Atlanta, what's another 4 to Orlando. The kids had no idea where we were going so that made it rather exciting. So we headed down to Universal for two days, ended up being able to see my cousin, her daughter and my aunt as well, so all in all a good trip.
Universal kind of confused me, Islands of Adventures was ok, Harry Potter was cool, but what kids know about the toons that they use in the one section, Gasoline Alley, Cathy, Dagwood and Blondie? I got a massive case of deja vu at the Universal Studios section, so that's what happened to MGM Studios! My son was majorly disappointed that Jaws was no longer there, but I guess another Harry Potter attraction is on its way!
On to the nails, since that is what you came here for! I love Sally Hansen Salon Effects for these kind of trips, so I combined Tattoo Much and In The Spotlight and then because I can not leave well enough alone, I topped it off with CND Effects Crimson Sparkle. The picture was taken after the trip so there is a little bit of tipwear, but not much. The new iPhoto for the iPad is pretty awesome, I edited this photo using it, it even let me do the cool Instagram type effect, ta!

That's a major appliance, that's not a name!

Hey lovelies! If you get the title of the post then you must be a child of the 80s like me. John Hughes films, awesome soundtracks and teen angst. Pretty in Pink, the film that gave us Andie, Duckie, Blane, Iona(love Annie Potts, a horrifically awesome prom dress and one of the best egotistical assholes ever played by James Spader. Erin of Nostalgic Nail Lacquer, created The Bizzare Love Triangle polishes, Andie, Duckie and Blane, Ihave all three but couldn't resist using Blane first. This is 2 coats dabbed over two coats of China Glaze Gothic Lolita. Loved this combo so much, ta!
